O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our most gentle Mother,

I come before you at the start of this day with a humble and trusting heart.

You who carried the Light of the World within you, please carry me through this day in the shelter of your maternal love.

Wrap me in your mantle, dear Mother.

Guard my thoughts, that they may be pure.
Guard my words, that they may be kind.
Guard my steps, that they may follow your Son.

Walk before me, beside me, and behind me through every step of this day.

When I am weary, remind me of Calvary.
When I am afraid, remind me of the Resurrection.
When I forget God, gently draw me back to Him, for you always lead us to Jesus.

Blessed Mother, bless this day.
Bless those I love.
Bless those who have no one to pray for them.

And present all my joys and struggles to the Sacred Heart of your Son.

Mary, my Mother, I am yours.
Keep me close to Jesus today and always.
And at the end of this day, bring me safely back to the Heart of your Son.
