O Glorious Apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus, true lover of Jesus and Mary, I greet thee through the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Through this Heart I praise and thank God for all the graces He has bestowed upon thee.
Humbly prostrate before thee, I implore thee, through this Heart, to look down upon me with compassion.
Despise not my poor prayers; let not my trust be confounded; to thee God has granted the privilege of aiding mankind in the most desperate cases.
O come to my aid, that I may praise the mercies of God! All my life I will be grateful to thee and will be thy faithful client, until I can thank thee in Heaven.

Powerful Prayers To Saint Jude: The Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes and Desperate Situations
I am 56. I can testify to the power of praying the Novena prayer to St Jude. When I was 15, I first prayed seriously to him for my exam results and miraculously, they were way beyond my expectations! When doing my nurse training, I gave the prayer to a select few whom I felt inspired to share it with. One man who was a Health Department official, had diabetes and had to have a toe amputation. No amount of painkillers were effective for the extremely agonising and continual pain. Although he he said that he didn’t believe in God, neither did his family, he was in so much pain, he was willing to pray to St Jude – because he was known as “The Patron Saint Of Hopeless Cases”, and he definitely identified with that. I wrote out the prayer after my shift finished and went on two days off. When my next shift started, he immediately wheeled up to me in his wheelchair,he was very excited, grateful, amazed and surprised – he had kept reciting the prayer and it had dramatically changed his pain perception and his attitude, he was quite joyful, peaceful and extremely surprised and had been waiting for me to share the good news about the answered prayer to a former atheist. Thanks be to God for St Jude, and the hope we have in him, even when all we can see/feel/expect is hopelessness
