Lord Jesus Christ, we begin the Holy Season of Lent by observing Ash Wednesday, May the ashes to be imposed upon our forehead be a solemn reminder of our human frailty, that our dependence should be on You alone.
Please teach us also to be loving, forgiving, and merciful towards our neighbor and those in need.
Guide us, Lord, and forgive us.
