Lord Jesus Christ, I have just experienced the misfortune of failing in some enterprise, and I am overwhelmed by it.

Please grant me your grace in this difficult time.

Let me realize that no one who uses all his talents ever fails in your eyes.

In addition, assist me to see that You utilize our failures to make us grow into better persons and more devoted followers of You.

Make me recall that everything good comes from You, indicating that I must work as if everything depended on me but pray as if it all depended on You.

Then if failure comes, there is a reason for it. Help me to seek and find that reason and live in accord with it.
